ITINERARY

Day 1

Arrival to Ljubljana airport and travel to the coastal region of Portoroz with overnight bed & breakfast accommodation in the 4 star Marko Hotel (or similar)
 
Day 2

Late morning sightseeing tour of Piran and free time for a light lunch (not included)
Early afternoon drive into the hinterland of Slovenian Istria and visit the certified Eco friendly Wine estate of the Rodica family. 
Tour of the estate followed by the tasting of 5 wines.
After the tasting a short drive to the Lisjak family olive oil production estate to include a tour of the production followed by tasting.
Finally a visit to the Bric family Wine estate taking in a tour, wine tasting with dinner.
Return to the hotel
 
Day 3

After breakfast depart from Portoroz. Drive to the Karst region known for their full body red wines. 
Visit the medieval town of Stanjel
Following that the tour takes us to the family estate of Scuka, known for the production of prosciutto (air dried ham).
Lunch would be prosciutto (air dried ham) with a glass of red terran wine.
Continue on to Vipava valley and the village of Slap to visit the family wine estate of Zorz for wine tasting and a small snack.
From the village of Slap we continue on to Ljubljana, capital of Slovenia. 
Overnight in the 4 star Sion Hotel (or similar) 
 
Day 4

After breakfast, drive to the second largest city in Slovenia, Maribor. Situated in the Styria wine region of Slovenia famous for its white wines. 
After a short sightseeing tour visit the oldest vine in the world.
After Maribor, drive back towards Ljubljana with a stop off at the town of Slovenske Konjice and visit the Dveri-pax wine estate After a short tour and wine tasting with a snack.
This would be followed by a visit to the Zlati Grič Winery for a tour of the winery with wine tasting and snacks.
Return to Ljubljana late afternoon.
 
Day 5

Departure / Depending on departure of flight maybe squeeze in a short stop in Bled.
